Contract Negotiations: 07/17/2024

Takeaways from 07/17/2024 meeting:
• HACC Admin presented details about healthcare costs but only had consultant estimates since the vendor bids are still in process. HACC Admin continues to promise more details at a later date.
• HACCEA presented language revisions they did to make HACCEA’s contract draft more succinct and to ensure all parts of the contract align.
• No discussions of any specific article occurred.
• HACC Admin informed HACCEA that they plan to petition for the removal of “department chairs” from the HACCEA bargaining unit list. HACCEA declined to join that petition.

HACCEA and HACC Admin continue to meet but have made little progress.
Please be on the lookout for HACCEA’s newsletter on 7/31. That newsletter will provide information regarding a Negotiations Town Hall meeting during 0 Week. A full report will be given to all HACCEA eligible bargaining unit members during that Town Hall.
The next meeting is 8/14/2024.
