Contract Negotiations: 06/10/2024

Takeaways from 06/10/2024 meeting:
• Discussed many articles as noted on the spreadsheets.
• Both HACCEA and HACC admin are researching data to answer procedural and/or financial questions each party wants clarified.
• A number of differences regarding what articles are management rights and what articles fall under union purview still exists.

Dear colleagues,
HACCEA and HACC admin had discussions about a wide variety of articles and topics. HACCEA continues to revise drafting to make HACCEA’s CBA draft language clearer and more succinct.
HACC admin is waiting for additional details regarding healthcare costs for 2025. HACC admin asked various clarifying questions to HACCEA’s drafted articles.
HACCEA vacated the Peer Mentorship article as HACCEA negotiations committee members deemed that should be a Faculty Organization purview. HACCEA vacated the Pay Period article as the issue driving its inclusion has been resolved.
There remains a notable number of articles where HACCEA believes the topic falls under union purview and where HACC admin believes the topic falls under management rights.
The next meeting is 7/8/2024.
